chlothegod cuts deep with new visuals for ‘I Feel Different Every Day’

“Intimate experiences that flourish in authority and vulnerability.” – WONDERLAND

“A striking songwriter.” – CLASH

“Undeniably raw and expressive.” – COMPLEX

Following the release of her acclaimed deluxe EP last month, chlothegod returns with new visuals for the powerful title track “I Feel Different Every Day” – a raw and introspective cut dropped via EQT Recordings.

Over intimate guitar licks and swirling vocal harmonies, chlothegod’s warm, sun-kissed vocals pay homage to her younger self, contrasted only by her legacy and the weight of expectation that can disrupt her own ambitions amid the disarray of adolescence and adulthood. Stuck between familiar spaces and external influences in all their confusion and mundanity, the track captures a critical moment of self-realisation before exploding into blistering rock tropes; her experiences of resilience and frustration become a pillar of growth, and establish some of the most vulnerable self-expression we’ve seen from her to date.

Backed by a cinematic music video directed by award-winning cinematographer Josh Nesmith, the young talent confronts her restricting affinities in a raw, fever dream of visual art. The stylish clash of realism and performance becomes elevated through vivid reflections of her family and the internal battle that eventually cuts through the chaos. From unexpected relocation and generational military enlistment to toxic societal standards and the pressures of sustaining legacy, chlo tries to make sense of it all. Each scene mirroring the push and pull of self-discovery and restraint before letting go – finding a newfound confidence, unfiltered, and empowered to finally seek her own creative and ethereal path.

Speaking on the track, chlothegod states: “I Feel Different Every Day is the most important thing I’ve had to say in a while. It’s my apology to myself for believing I had to operate in perfection. It’s my devotion to understanding my family and my life and how I show up for better or worse for them. It’s my admittance to myself that all my years of reflection have made home in myself and a stranger to the world around me. Still, I have a right to learn about and comment on how it all makes me feel, even if I feel different about it every day.”

She adds: “The music video is my chance to get a little closer to the source of inspiration. Growing up in a military town, with family who serve, is a unique experience that I wanted to highlight. My father’s life changed mine as his father’s changed his, and I wanted to show the parallel of what I could have become following that generational career path. The characters in the video represent all I am, and what I come from, but also all I could have been. It’s a big conversation to have but I come from a place that intentionally strips you of your identity and holds freedom over your head. Rebelling against that system has given me a chance to encourage others to think deeply about the things they believe, and I think that was an important story to tell.”

Fresh on the scene with her transformative EP I Feel Different Every Day (Deluxe), chlothegod continues to blend high-calibre textures across psychedelic rock, indie, alt-pop and R&B, laying groundwork to uncover and examine her affirmations and inspire others in search of the same solace. Her raw, intricate lyricism and eclecticism quickly earned critical attention from WONDERLAND, CLASH, PIGEONS AND PLANES, COLORS, and major SPOTIFY support across ‘New Music Friday’, ‘All New Indie’ and more – marking significant levels for the rising star continuing to champion self-love, and the documentation of a young woman understanding who she is and who she has yet to become.

With a key support slot alongside the acclaimed vocalist Orion Sun later this month, chlo kicks off her own debut headline tour,  having already performed across major cities in North America including NYC and LA. The rising talent is also set to bring her incendiary sound waves to The Victoria, Dalston on June 18th – chlo’s highly anticipated return to London since supporting Olivia Dean at The Hammersmith Apollo last year.

Continuing to earn attention since her breakout record “Camille” (4M+ streams) – an ode to queer love and the unique spectrum of dating – chlothegod delivered her sleek and introspective debut EP Nearly Straight in 2023. A pivotal moment that solidified her presence as a key new voice, chlo followed up with a stunning COLORS performance for the lead track “UGOMDN”.

Holding significant co-signs across collaborative singles with Baby Rose on “Bless Your Heart pt.2”, Amindi on “Good Guys pt.2” and Mick Jenkins across “UGOMDN pt.2”, the young artist and creative toured North America alongside British superstar Lola Young before dropping their joint record “Outta My Mind pt.2” last year. With international acclaim coming from CLASH MAGAZINE, who marked her as an “Artist Who Could Define 2025”, chlothegod would later drop her recent EP I Feel Different Every Day, which collected serious artist love from the likes of Duckwrth, chi, Amaarae and more. With authenticity and a clear creative vision shining at the forefront of her powerful artistry, chlothegod continues her trajectory as one of the most exciting and refreshing young talents this year and beyond.
