Loco Returns With “random summer night”, feat. Jordan Ward
Celebrated Korean hip-hop artist Loco makes a compelling return with his latest single, “random summer night” featuring rising U.S. singer-songwriter Jordan Ward. The track is available now across all major streaming platforms.
A standout from Loco’s forthcoming project SCRAPS, “random summer night” pairs laid-back synths and crisp drumwork with Loco’s signature style, blending seamlessly with Ward’s futuristic R&B vocals. The collaboration marks a cross-continental creative spark - fusing Loco’s Seoul-rooted lyricism with the Los Angeles-based artist’s rising global profile, recently co-signed by SZA and Tyler, the Creator.
SCRAPS is the result of Loco’s first project as an independent artist after over a decade with AOMG. The album explores themes of reinvention and creative freedom, assembling a mosaic of rediscovered fragments and unfinished ideas - reimagined into a bold, new body of work. The track’s photos were developed in partnership with photographer Winter Vandenbrink, adding further depth to the project’s aesthetic.
Loco first rose to prominence as the winner of Korea’s Show Me the Money Season 1 and has since carved out a lane of his own. With a catalogue that includes hits like Hold Me Tight, HELLO, and collaborations with artists including Jimin (BTS), Baekhyun (EXO), and Hwasa (MAMAMOO), he has remained a defining voice in Korea’s hip-hop and pop crossover space.
With “random summer night,” Loco offers a glimpse into a more exploratory, globally resonant era - one that embraces vulnerability, style, and sonic experimentation. A full album release and a series of live performances are already on the horizon, solidifying 2025 as a milestone year in Loco’s evolution.
