Paul taps into a growing trend - giving fans and creators another way to engage with the record. These alternate versions have become a staple of the streaming and social media landscape, making it easier for music to travel across platforms and find new life in user-generated content.  It also offers the artist a chance to playfully deconstruct and reimagine his own work, blurring the lines between tradition and experimentation.

These new versions of Paul’s "Jazz Money" album come on the heels of his amazing “ALPHA WOMEN REMIX” featuring the soulful trumpet of Marquis Hill and a deeply moving vocal performance by rising Brazilian artist MERICIA (Spotify’s Amplifika ambassador spotlighting Black Brazilian culture).

Zacchaeus Paul has more to come before the summer’s through, with more new music and collaborations as well as exciting tour dates in the UK and EU. He will be perfroming at Paradisio, Amsterdam (NL) on August 14th, Ronnie Scott's, London (UK) on August 15th, and then "We Out Here" Festival, Dorset (UK) on August 17th. More dates to come. “Speaking of surprises, my biggest of the weekend was Zacchae’us Paul, a pianist and vocalist increasingly known for his work alongside Melanie Charles, and who may soon break out on his own.”

Gionvanni Russonello NYT Jan 2024

Paul’s music is a fresh take on jazz, blending Atlanta hip-hop, gospel, and Caribbean rhythms. Influenced by his musical experiences in church, his exploration of jazz intensified after discovering Duke Ellington, leading him to pursue music studies in Puerto Rico which vastly expanded his musical horizons. He has performed with esteemed players like Terri Lyne Carrington, Melanie Charles, Henry Cole and Saunders Sermons (Jay-Z, Fantasia, Maxwell), all of whom are featured on Jazz Money.

In January, Paul played two sold-out events at the 2025 NYC Winter Jazz Fest, including the headlining spot at Gilles Peterson’s Sunday Jazz Dance Session at Brooklyn’s Xanadu.

Paul is part of a new generation of Candid Records artists which also includes Milena Casado, Simon Moullier and Matthew Stevens.. The recently relaunched label - which already has 5 Grammy wins to its credit since 2021 - is building on its legacy as one of the most storied and influential American independent labels of the 1960s.
